The most accurate and forgiving Hogan blades ever.
When Ben Hogan started his company in 1953, he did so to "design and manufacture the best clubs in golf" with "the most exacting tolerances". With Ft. Worth irons, the Ben Hogan name raises the bar once again.
Our goal was the achieve the ultimate combination of feel, consistency, accuracy, and … yes … forgiveness in a traditional blade design. Not only to Ft. Worth irons look great, but they also incorporate a number of technologies and engineering designs to give accomplished golfers a new level of performance in their game.
Mass positioned to promote solid contact and great feel.
There is nothing quite as satisfying as the feel of a well struck shot with a forged iron. However, that feel … or lack thereof … doesn't come often enough with many modern 'player's irons'.
Ben Hogan Ft. Worth irons are forged from a single piece of premium 1025 Carbon Steel. This soft, resilient material has long been known to provide great feel and feedback for the discerning player.
It also allowed our engineers to incorporate an innovative 'Depression Cavity' in the back of each iron. Each Depression Cavity was precisely designed, sized, and positioned for the individual club head. It's larger and lower on the long irons to promote higher launch angles, and smaller and higher on the short irons for more penetrating ball flights.
Forgiveness with better shot making.
Perimeter weighting has long been proven to be a viable game-improvement technology. However, true perimeter weighting technology is impossible to incorporate into a single piece forging … which is precisely why blades have a reputation for being difficult to hit.
Not only does our unique Depression Cavity allow us to move mass where it will promote solid contact and great feel, but it allows us to distribute mass more effectively in each club head. We vary the amount of perimeter weighting in each iron … more in the long irons, less in the scoring irons … and ensure there is enough mass behind the primary impact area of each face.
This Adaptive Perimeter Weighting system delivers a level of forgiveness never before seen in a player's iron, and promotes higher spinning shots to maximize work-ability.
Better turf interaction and more versatility.
Ft. Worth irons utilize Ben Hogan's V-Sole technology which combines a very steep / high bounce leading edge with a low bounce trailing edge on the sole. This minimizes 'digging' or 'dragging' and ensures solid impact what the turf condition.
V-Sole Technology also allows the golfer to easily manipulate the position of the club head … by opening it or closing it … for more shot making options.
Choose the set configuration that suites your game.
In the ultimate commitment to precision, Ft. Worth irons are offered in four (4) separate launch profiles. Every iron in the 7-piece set is numbered with its exact loft on the sole, and the traditional iron number designation on the hosel. All Ft. Worth iron sets incorporate precise, consistent 4-degree loft gaps between each iron for optimal distance gapping.
